very frustrated newbie
hi all just got movie pro 11 . have important editing to do for the boss (hee hee) but when connect my jvc grd40 via fire wire all the buttons and audio work but no video . tried direct to dvd recorder with dv cable works fine. checked drivers

If you're still doing everything just like before (e.g. connection via FireWire and capturing via the standard DV capture option in the program), something might have messed up your DV/FireWire drivers. An application might have installed

camera is not recognised by software
I am using Movie edit pro 12. When I first got the software there was no problem, but now software is very reluctant to recognise my camera Panasonic dv (NV-DS33EG). Keeps saying can't conect. If I keep trying it will eventually. When it does

I'm not completely sure from your description, but do you mean that you're trying to perform a DV capture or an analog recording in Movie Edit Pro and you're getting a functional preview in the respective recording window, but as soon as you trigger

Movie Edit Pro won't playback 48000 audio!?
I'm trying to edit a normal DV file with the usual 48000 audio. When i hit play it's really badly samplrate converted & glitchy. The project is set to 48k. I have tried it with to different professional sound cards lynx l22 & a TC konnect

The message you get doesn't indicate a connection problem between the Video8 camera and the Grabster 400 capture device. This is an analog connection. The software doesn't have any way of knowing what analog device is connected to the capture unit

I'm afraid the current Magix video programs don't support the utilization of the DV time stamp information.

How can I capture DV?
The program doesn´t recognize y video camera (DV) Have no problem with movie maker but yesr with Magic X Video...
