RE: Export Video as AVI
@Jamil-Taylor Hi . . . . The larger file is not even playable . . . . It won't because until the file is correctly closed, the header information is not written to the file header. An interesting puzzle as to why the file is being split. When you

RE: The output formats are messed up in Movie Studio 2024
I did a trial and successfully got an exported still restored and exported. The trick to export as I previously said is to set the aspect to 3:2. Then to get correct import change the movie aspect to 3:2 (file/settings/movie). But then after

RE: Increase recording quality?
@CubeAce Ray, we're going off on yet another tangent. Here's the Mediainfo report from an analogue capture in Lossless MagicYUV: What program are you using to capture AVIs from VHS that gives you control over the bit depth and bitrate? Edit:

RE: Export Video as AVI
@Jamil-Taylor Magix Movie Studio (and I assume VPX) does export OpenDML AVIs. Open one of your files in Mediainfo and look at the Format Profile; it is "OpenDML". I'm no expert on OpenDML (I use Okay -- I performed the export and have exact file

@Betovalle Hi . . . . If you remove the audio from the clip in the timeline when rendering it, it will generate the file with zero audio stream! . . . . Yes and no, it depends on the file format you are exporting to and the Media setting in the

RE: Feedback about VIDEO PRO X15
This makes me suspect that PI plugin is not truly OFX compliant. "OFX" is like "avi", seemingly simple, but actually very complicated. Boris is the most advanced OFX plug-in manufacturer in the world today, and their products are definitely in full

Here's a MP4 snippet render of a conversion to 50 frames per second of the Deint file (00059) using the RIFE plugin of AVISynth. It's not perfect (see the bouncy titles at the start) but does a pretty decent

RE: enabling MPEG 4
Is there anyway to capture VHS direct to MP4 or AVI? I have tried various settings and I found only way to capture to MPEG-2 (.mpg) or to .mxv ?MPEG-2 is antique file format.

RE: Export Video as AVI
@Jamil-Taylor Hi . . . . The only way to determine if a particular process (yours being to AVI>DivX or mine, direct to HEVC) is "better" is to create a file of each using same bitrate (resulting in the same file size) and then subjectively

RE: Which version supports 4k video editing
@derek-brown UHD is 3840x2160. Going on the droplist in Movie Settings, UHD 2 is 8k. A lot of the menus haven't been translated well. Example with the latest version: "Export to MPEG 4, HEVC, AVI". They are all MPEG 4.

RE: The output formats are messed up in Movie Studio 2024
As I said the original movie had been badly mangled as to aspect by being transferred from one medium to another, so I masked off the R & L edges. I will either mask the top and bottom edges and possibly increase the size of the final version.

RE: Incorrect frame rate on AVI output, incorrect display of frame
The standard for the US is to have a film shot at 24fps is to put it on Blu-Ray at 23.976 (24000/1001). The standard for the transmission of video is 29.97 and also for DVD, which means it has to be telecined to fit a movie onto a DVD. All you have

RE: Kodak C330 audio
@nicolesharp100 Of note is that Video Deluxe won't export MP4 ie H264 below 24fps; I don't know if VPX does. VPX will add duplicate frames as necessary to "fill up" the frame rate to 24 (or whatever you set) for export. Best to set the desired

Definite bug. On a 59.67 timeline, I just exported an 18" long CFR 25fps AVI to 59.67fps and the file length increased to 45 seconds in ultra-slow motion. Change movie settings to 59.94 and export at 59.94: export works correctly.
