A few years ago, we had a fellow named "Griff" or "Griffster" here who was an amazing jazz musician. Sadly he left the community ( as did many others) He is playing the drum track on this song written and played originally by jazz pianist David Benoit. I play all tracks other than the drum track.

I hope you enjoy it and thanks for listening

Trish

being able to mix on a track, a mmm soundpool, it's difficult (I know something), in this you managed to do it very well, good Trish !!!

No soundpools. I played everything on my keyboards ( piano, sax and trumpet) The piano is a VST called " Addictive Keys" and the sax and trumpet are onboard sounds from my Alesis keyboard.

We all have our musical preferences which is good because it would be very boring if we all liked the same thing and there was only one genre eh? Personally, I listen and try to appreciate the music that people post... if not the genre, then their ability to put a song together in a coherent manner. But thanks for listening even though you don't care for jazz.

Jazz or not, this is not the purpose of qualifying a style to be able to appreciate at its right, but as a whole, and I must say that the whole and well orchestrated and elaborated, we are far from a simple copy paste, in this case, we understand well, the years of study, experience and mastery of what has been learned ..
I salute all this work and thank you for letting us appreciate the quality of your music ...

Awesome piece of jazz... great drums by Griff and your piano play is just fine.

I like this very much!

Melody sounded familiar at once... so I've listened to David Benoit before...

Amazing!

@ DJCProject

Is it all jazz you don't like it just one type because there are many facets. Blues, spirituals and even rock and roll have all developed from jazz. however all are American in origin.

@TrishM

No need to explain anything... waste of time.

@DJCProject

Sorry that my posting of this song caused such problems among friends. I worked hard to learn this song. It is not an easy song to play and if some can't appreciate that then I'm truly sorry for you. I consider it hurtful that someone will not listen to a song if they don't like the genre. Sometimes if you're open minded enough, you can learn to tolerate music that is different from your own.
