  @Alex-Kirkwood MIDI ports on the audio interface would only be needed if you own a MIDI device without USB connection. You wrote your MIDI keyboard is a USB device. This means the keyboard has its own internal MIDI interface. Do you still have

  Discovered the answer: in order to slide, right select the icon to the right of the 'mouse mode for all tracks' and select 'move object contents'. Of course the clip must be a trimmed clip. (Apparently the above keyboard combination does not work

  After much fiddling about & guesswork, I now have this & all seems to be well. Even the keyboard seems to be ok!! (First time since I installed the program). Thank you for pointing me in the right direction! Best regards, David
