  Hi again. Well, that seemed to do the trick. I disabled my security/firewall, then reinstalled SF, re-enabled security and launched SF thru 'Run as Administrator' tab. So far it's working like a charm. I am having no issues at all. I thank you for

  Hi John and SP, I resorted to a very strongly worded complaint / appeal to the Sales Department of Magix (shop@magix.net) and they responded in a couple of hours having "we increased the amount of machines which can activate the software from 3 to 5

  @dave-l Hmm, interesting that it shows WASAPI. If you click on Soundcard Settings button in the recording settings the program in my case only offers WDM and MME, not WASAPI. This could be a problem, but maybe it's not. If you have the Windows(!)
