RE: Creating a transition from a video clip using the Mask Generator
Good Morning John I used your "Creating a transition from a video clip using the Mask Generator" and it works perfectly for me. I've made about 10 different transitions from that tutorial and that's more than enough for me. I don't need to buy that 1700 effects and transitions as advertised so much. I would like to try making a custom transition as follows (this is just an example) I have 2

Multi-cam editing in Video Pro X6
This is a tutorial for anyone who has not attempted multi-cam editing or who is having problems getting started. It was done with and for Magix Video Pro X6 (VPX6), although some parts may apply to Movie Edit Pro (MEP). John Auvil has done a good tutorial for Movie Edit Pro. Digital clock
Different solutions have been launched to make a digital clock.  In connection with an assignment a very simple solution suddenly struck my mind. In earlier versions of VDL or MEP (14 and 11) we could choose Time code to be shown in the video monitor, with big red digits. I made a screen capture of 10 minutes, with 320 px resolution, and try to upload it as MPG. The file is 40 MB. I hope that

It was easy to do transitions in Photostory Deluxe 2016 but I am still confused on how to do pan and zoom effects. The amount of effects etc. Photostory can do according to the demo files makes it seem a bargain at the price as

Hello, I finally solved the problem with the audio.  It had to do with the settings . Now I have one question.  I have not been able to achieve the effect of seeing the two images at the same time on the screen,  one fading out the other fading in.  Could you please give an explanation of how this is done? What I get,  after applying the spice,  is a rather abrupt change from one clip to

RE: How to start a film?
Good advice for beginners: to begin, just put some visuals and sounds on the timeline. It would help to make the tutorial a bit less wordy and cut out frames of the desktop; get to the point and stick to it, as my writing coach would say. Thanks for posting. RE: MEP Split screen effect using Section, Size/Position
Hi Matt, This method uses section and zoom under Size/Position. I could not find a way to use Camera/Zoom and maintain the split screen properly. Camera/zoom is a movement effect that moves the frame, creating the impression of camera movement or zoom. It overrides the split screen part. Remember that the top image, that is the one sitting on top (track 2)  is the one that shows up first.

RE: VHS to Video Transfer Guide
Just wondering, does VHS to DVD have a different version of magix included with it? I bought the Video Converter box with Magix in it (SE) and updated to the Windows 8 version. The version I have doesn't seem to have some of the functions you mentioned, Such as export and finishing time. You can't see the dropped frame as well (which would be handy). Another question (which has bugged me from
