I re-installed the program but it wont run with out entering the serial number. The serial number in the book gives me 'an invalid' number.Any one that can tell me how to buy a voucher would be very helpful.

Hi Greg, I have started a new Getting Started in MusicMaker tutorial more than once, never finished. If you buy Plus or Premium, look at some of the other threads about activation, downloading and installing. @daisy-jones Removing and installing MusicMaker will not help with add-ons. I presume that after downloading, you executed the file and input the serial number that you were given by email with  the purchase? Support is where it has always been when you are on the Magix.com site. Look at the top menu.

Really crappy program. After a couple of videos it stops working and gives me that black video. tried all the 'solutions' found online. waste of money, hope I can return this crappy software. even the 'update', which they offered a day after installing, screwed it up until i found a solution to that problem. one program=multiple problems +wasted time+frustration.

Thank you, John.    Seeing how easily it should work, shows me that something is wrong with my copy of magix.   My current install brings up an ID3 error.  Not so simple anymore.

Sadly, I feel that the whole process of having to install and activate the MPEG codecs is a waste of money, time and effort as the cost of the codecs is minimal they should be built into the price of the product - as they are in most software that produces video output. Hello there, I have Music maker MX but my problem is that I cannot hear a playback while I'm recording. I checked the "Playback while recording" box, but still can't hear playback. I am using Realtek HD sound driver. Tried to install ASIO driver but it did not work either. I can playback  what I have recorded but can't hear during recording. Your advices is highly appreciated. Excellent.  However, does anyone have a similar "how to" to get the soundpools for MM17 Premium?? I've followed all installation instructions, but the instruments just do not show up. I think the files get dumped to "C:/Documents and Settings/All Users/Applications/Magix/Music_Maker_17_Premium_Download_Version/" I can't find anything in the manual that helps. Any help out there

What do I have to do to open and play the video on this listing? I have installed the newest Flash player and have most current codecs for Windows Media palyer. Nothing happens when I click on open video !    

Hi Roger   Great tutorial and I learned a lot from it.  One problem I have is this. In order to lock the two streams together for side by side production, I have to first click on anaglyph ! It will not lock unless I do that first. A bug perhaps. Or is it just my installation.   I have an Nvidia 3D display system as well as a Sony 3D TV so I need the side by side

If you dont know if your puter has a sound card or not, then you shouldnt be playing with such an advanced feature as vid trans!...If you have not put a sound card in ur your puter, chances are you dnt have one!...most puters come with integrated sound+vids cards unless u install them!>.

Dont feel bad... I purchased it and have the same problem. Seems like this software is nothing more than a shell.  It may be able to work, but now I can't figure how to get any kind of sound into or out of it.  The instructions are pathetic.  It should have come with at least a demo and a few sound loops installed.  That might have given me a good impression, or at least a little more
