I hope them videos your downloading are your own and not copy write protected material. But if their your own then I suggest a program called super. It will convert anything into any format. It will even convert into 3pg (cell phone format) The only problem is it looks a little generic and the gui is about as tricky to figure out at first as their web site is. For those having a tough time watching the videos: I downloaded RealPlayer, enabled the option to show the DownloadThisVideo button to show when you hover the pointer over the video, and chose to download the video before watching it.  (Okay, I've gotten ahead of myself and am typing this while I'm waiting for the download, but it works well with YouTube and most other streaming vids.).  Here
