MEP and VPX6 with Pixelan Smart Blur Pro - Part 1 - Introduction to blur effects and shape masks
This is the first of 3 tutorials about how to use Pixelan Smart Blur Pro with Movie Edit Pro and Video Pro X. Smart Blur Pro is a 32 bit and 64 bit plug-in that allows you to blur selectively while retaining desired details, highlights, and edges, yet smoothly blur areas in between. One of the uses is to place a mask over someone and move the mask to follow the person, another use is for

It was done with and for Magix Video Pro X6 (VPX6), although some parts may apply to Movie Edit Pro (MEP). John Auvil has done a good tutorial for Movie Edit Pro. Magix has a tutorial for Movie Edit Pro 2015. There are some differences. One of the differences that I did not

Route Animation using Vasco da Gama and Movie Edit Pro
2014.02.18 - I changed the video again, will know on Wednesday. I exported this time as wmv, not the flashplayer as recommended by Magix. If the video doesn't work, look at my comment below as I have also posted the video in Dropbox, and it definitely works there. Some Magix users may have obtained the Vasco da Gama route animation program and want to use it with more detailed maps than the

How to use 3D titles in Movie Edit Pro
This tutorial explains how to use the 3D titles in MEP. I made it 3 years ago (in 2009) using MEP-15, but subsequent versions are similar. In addition, this illustrates all the first section of 3D titles in MEP-15, most of which are still present in later versions. Below is the YouTube link. If necessary use the Settings gear wheel to switch to the higher quality option, although even that

I have MAGIX Movie Edit Pro Plus - Version 20.0.1.80 (UDP3) UG code 8452 KA1 I believe this a 2021 version... I hadn't used it much.. the 2016 version was just fine for my limited needs, however, after producing a couple of simple movie slide shows, for some reason the program won't start (initialization file missing?) RE: Creating a Fancy Title Intro using Magix Movie Edit Pro
@Vitaly Hi, There are 2 different ways of using masks in MEP. The first way, and what you are referring to is done by masking an effect on a single video or photo. See the tutorial indicated below, particularly from 8:30 onwards. You either create or load a mask using the dropdown arrow of an effect, Create effect mask or Load effects mask. This puts the effect onto the track below the video and

Brilliant work, John, well done! That's potentially going to be a great help for many new (and not so new) users. I was successful a few years back in persuading Magix to include my draft 'stickie' in the Forum section. But despite my efforts it was never similarly placed in the Q&A. I've tried again several times, including a week ago, as we're getting an increasing number of questions that
