About me Forum Tutorials Media Comments Guestbook Samplitude on 12/6/2017 Why is Sound Forge bundled with Samplitude Pro X3? It is not linked to Sam but it has its usefulness. John CB You can, yes, link Sound Forge to Samplitude/Sequoia. Go to menu "Options / External Tools..." The audio file is open directly into the Forge and when Forge is closed, the same file is automatically saved into the VIP (Samp/Sequoia). In this way, Sound Forge acts as a very turbo-charged Wave Editor! It's very nice!!! A great complement! 😉 Forgive me but is that the Options menu in Samplitude Pro X3 (program preferences) or Soundforge 11 (options)? Because I simply can't find that "option" (i.e., "External Tools") in EITHER options menu? I'm old so maybe I missed it?? Thanks and be patient with me Other products on 12/6/2017 Independence Content Library DVD's if it's like the download ONLY version of Samplitude Pro Suite (and remember I said IF its like the download version) - AFTER you install Samplitude you will find a new program folder in your start menu labeled "MAGIX" and under it you will see "Magix Independence Pro 3.3 VST plugin" and under that "Independence content installation" becasue the Samplitude installation process installs Independence Pro as an "add-in/add-on" to Samplitude. this version of Independence Pro won't work in any other DAW or HOST unless you BUY one of the versions of Independence Pro outright, consider it a freebie add-in for now. You might also find the content installer at (again AFTER doing a full install of the Samplitude disks) "C:\Program Files (x86)\VST\MAGIX\Independence\VSTPlugins64" At any rate when you run the Indep. content installer it will ask you where the content source is (on DVD, on-line or on local drive in your case it's on the DVD - it took me almost 12 hours to download the almost 70GB of content I wish I had had the DVD's - STILL DO Good luck Hope that helps 1
