Formatting and reinstallations

Hello. I cant speak or write in German unfortunately. I hope English will do. The point is that I have five network production machines managing 8 different formats. Often, particularly at the beginning of my business, the configurations changed often, until I got the configuration right. Some machines are upgraded over time to newer OS/s, bugs in Magix or other software or Windows required reinstalls. All these factors arriving at different times means that I have probably reinstalled Magix 15 and 16 at least 10 or more times. This means at least 10 activations of the software and the MPEG2 functions ... and when the limit on the number of installs is attained it means calling Magix and sending mails and not getting through and delays.

Hello,

indead there seems to exist a limited number of activations for MAGIX-programs (as well as for most of other software-companies.

I made the experience that you can reinstall as often times as you want, if the hardware remains unchanged. That means (my experience): if it is always the same hardware-environment (i.e. same OS, same HD, same Graphic-card, maybe same BIOS) you have not to contact MAGIX.

But if you change some of your computers components or the name with which you have been registered at MAGIX-Service you are limited in the numbers if re-installations; as I heard up to 3.

Most of software-sellers nowadays personalize user, program and PC/Notebook to minimize software-piracy.
