How do you match the video bpm to the audio bpm in Magix Video Pro X6

Im in the middle of scoring the 1978 version of The Wiz. I have remixed the audio in Traktor Scratch Pro 2. I think the frame rate is off based on what someone told me once, but I'm not really sure. This is a really big movie as you all know. The quality is 720p and it's in MKV format. This project takes about 3 hours to open and I'm always switching and adding mp3 or wav files. Some of the video needs to be synced to go along with the story line. This being a very lengthly process, what I usually do is delete all of the movie and the save the video I want to remix with a new song to Traktor and then convert it to wav.Then I reopen the last project, let it load and then mute the audio in that section and enable audio that was remixed. The problem is just seems a little off. I'm not familiar with bpm wizard and I need some guidance or steps on how to sync it perfectly.

Just wondering, but why are you using Traktor to remix the Audio? why not just mix it using the timeline within Magix Pro X ? This way once its mixed it remains in sync. Also the ProX allows you to adjust the audio in either direction by the frames. I believe its in the audio options when you right click and object and navigate to the audio options.

I experienced a glitch once where the audio appeared to be delayed, so when I made adjustment when it exported it was to fast. What was really going on was my system was lagging so the audio delay made it appear out of sync. When I exported as it was before my adjustments the sound was correct.

A huge consideration is be sure your computer has the specs to handle the level of edits you make. They are demanding on the system and will result in instability. Do you have an i5 or i7 or equal? lots of ram? if you have a multi drive system, maybe go into options and direct the audio temp folder to the other drive, should give a boost

I am not familiar with audio mixing in Magix Pro X. Currently I only have 4 gigs of ram

Hi,

BPM Wizard is not for doing what you want. As DHDP indicated, you can drag the audio clip to line it up. Zoom in tightly to do this.

Note that you can actually move an audio file less than 1 video frame in VPX, not so in MEP.

VPX6 has a reasonably good mixer and effects. You should read the manual.

Press on M to open the mixer.

VPX6 and VPX7 are both 64 bit programs that can take advantage of RAM beyond 4 GB. I suggest that you add some RAM. 16 GB should allow you to work easily with large projects.

Ok is there anyway to transport the project into a new computer. I'd like to pick up where I left off.

Hi,

"..anyway to transport the project to a new compter." This is one of the reasons to read the manual.

Press on F1, select Search, type in the word "Backup" and select "Backup copy" from the list. Read the instructions.

There are 2 methods under File, Backup copy:

Copy movie and media into folder (Shift + R)
Copy project and media into folder (Alt + S)

Use the second one. Copy everything from that folder to the other computer. Open the MVP on the other computer and if it asks for the location of the files, browse to the same folder. The program will find everything.

My hard drive had Windows errors on it. Can I still use the 2nd method to relocate the files
