No transfer of finished project from PC back to DV camcorder

I am using MEP15+ on a new Medion PC, quad core Q8300, Win 7 Home Premium.

Capture from dv-player works fine with correct transfer of video/audio to the PC and tapetransport controlled from the PC.

When I return the finished project from the PC to the DV-player the tapetransport controls from the PC to dv-player works fine, but no data are transferred and recording does not start.

I have consulted Medion Support, and my drivers are fully updated as they advised me. According to Medion there is nothing more they can do.

I have tried 2 different dv-players with same negative result.
I is all working perfect on my old laptop PC with XP Home.

I have the same problem with Video Pro X.

Have others experienced similar problem?

I have observed the notion about win 7 and non-TI firewire chips.
I have tried the suggested solution bu changing the the driver, but with no luck.

I have a spare Canopus ACDvio-card which would be a usefull addition, but unfortunately GrassValley/Canopus has no updated Win 7 driver for this item (and can't tell if they will make one).

So, will it be a solution for me to buy a firewire I/O pci-card with IT-chip.

In the past with my old XP PC, I have mainly used the firewire output for 2 purposes:
1. To record a dv-mastertape of my finished productions.
2. To bring the videoimage to a tv-screen via the dv-recorder.

Re.1 I think I will save the masterfiles on a separate external garddisc, since the avaiability og dv-players will vanish in the near future making mastertapes rather useless.
Re.2 I just need to exchange my crt controlmonitor/tv with a modern flatscreen tv, which  often come with pc-connections (vga, dvi or hdmi). In my opinion I will have to sacrifice some in oicture quality, but I must accept that.
