Sound Forge Audio Studio stopped working?

George-Charpied schrieb am 17.03.2021 um 17:20 Uhr

Up an until yesterday, Sound Forge Audio Studio/Acid Music Studio worked fine. I use it to digitize vinyl collection. Today, when booting up software, I received this message: 'SOUND FORGE audio studio has stopped working.' 'Details about this problem can be collected and reported to MAGIX for troubleshooting.' I sent message answering this question: 'What were your doing at the time of the problem?' I had changed receiver/amplifier from Marantz 2200 to Yamaha R-S202? I attempted to re-install program but there is no avenue around having already registered package {that is, nothing downloadable}. Please provide explanation? I think I'll purchase a disk, if there is a next time? Thanks.

New Note:

I found set up application from18JAN21 (soundforgeaudiostudio 14_dlm) and ran installation app after uninstalling previous software setup. Received same message? What gives?

Thanks, GLC

@George-Charpied

Welcome to the Magix user to user forums.

First, Sound Forge Audio Studio and Samplitude (not Acid) Music Studio are two entirely different products. You have Sound Forge Audio Studio. But exactly which version?

Although you may have changed only your receiver/amp it is entirely possible that there has been a recent Windows Update which has caused the problem for you. I assume both the Marantz and Yamaha units are functioning in this scenario purely as amplifiers driving your speakers to enable you to monitor the recording as it is being made?

Also, please give us as much detail of your computer hardware and software as you can. The more information we have the more likely it is that we might be able to help you.
