Hi

Did you use Paste Insert instead of Paste?

We had a renown hiphop producer at the studio last night who swears by Acid Pro. I needed to install Acid for us to go over a few things. I wasn't sure whether Pro Suite was necessary, so I used the free trial. The problem is ACID PRO SUITE DOESN'T LOAD!!

Startup/Loading Window > VST Plugins Load > ASIO... CRASH

The first crash was during VST loading. All subsequent attempts appear to stop at some point while trying to load an ASIO driver. This isn't a problem with our system. Nuendo, WaveLab Pro, Reaper, Reason, and MixBus32C all work just fine.

I need a solution asap.

Perfectly understandable, but these are user to user forums, not Magix Technical Support so, unless another user has specific knowledge of a set-up at least similar to yours, I fear you may not receive any useful advice, sorry.

Also, since you are using the free trial version of ACID Pro I think you will not have a Magix account and so will be unable to create a Support Ticket.

My only suggestion is that you email infoservice@magix.net, explain fully the problem you ahve and ask what suggestion they are able to make to help you.

@Sergey-Markov

Your first post here has been hidden since it is asking about a different software, Music Maker, to the one that this thread is about, ACID.

Please create a new thread, choosing Music Maker as your product, and give a lot more detail about the exact problem you have, including any error messages you see.

I fired up acid pro 10 for first time in a while see if it had an update or improved. I tried to render a file but it crashed the daw, it would however work in "real time render" so that was a workaround.

Also with the inserting vst's problem, the drag and drop way does work, but when reopening the project the vst open window from the channel mix area defaults back to a new instance, although the plugins are still running on the audio, after 10 minutes of investigating I figured out the only way to get the vst window open again as originally used on the project is to click on a small icon that lives at the end of the audio file on the channel playback lane.

it works but probably not in the way intended.

is there a thread on this forum for user found remedies to the bugs that exist in this software, like a manual written by the users instead of the developers.

also is version 11 any good by now compared to 10, May '24?

thanks

Anybody faced with the same problem?

https://www.magix.info/us/forum/24-bit-and-32-bit-wav-files-vs-acid--1331249/

It would be fine if it would be solved...

Anybody has experience with Win11? Maybe it would solve it to upgrade from Win10?

Can you work with Waves so they can provide support for their plug-in s.

raimon-alvarez escrito el 25.12.AM a las 11:55 horas

I just want to add to what has been said.

-go back to the format Acid had in the Sonic Foundry days. Make it SIMPLE and make it WORK as the user expects. Why does the scroll wheel zoom work so bad?

-UNBLOAT the software now. Too many options everywhere that make little sense. I wonder how many people use Acid as their only software, my impression is that people have more than one daw and mix somewhere else. Just park the extra options somewhere else where they don't interfere with the workflow.

-Make the program EFFICIENT. I used to run Acid 4 iirc in a pentium 1 and it played loops and tracks from the hard drive pretty flawlessly. Nowadays it's just clumsy

Hi,

I'm using ACID Pro 11 Suite 11.0.2 build 21 and the latest version of Izotope VST3 plugins such as Neutron5, Ozone 11 advanced can't be loaded. According Magix support I'm the only one who encounters this problem. Is it true?

Magix support comment:

We do not have any reports so far that there are general compatibility issues with these latest iZotope products. I am sorry.

So, am I the only one having such a problem with latest Izotope VST3 plugins?

SP. escrito el 04.04.AM a las 11:14 horas

@DomMichel What do you mean, they cannot be loaded? They aren't listed or they don't respond if you click on them?

Did you try to rescan the VST paths?

If this doesn't work, try resetting Acid. For this, hold CTRL and SHIFT on your keyboard and start Acid. Keep holding the keys until a small window appears that will ask you to reset the program.

Be aware, Acid is out of development since 2020 and the older it gets the more likely it is that newer plugins may not work. Maybe this problem is also caused by a combination of old software, newer hardware and newer operating systems. That's why I recommend to use Acid for a basic project, then to export the tracks and mix and master them in another DAW.

DomMichel escrito el 04.04.PM a las 16:12 horas

Hi @SP.

The plugins are correctly listed but they don't respond when I try to add them.

Actually, it is what I do. I'm using Acid for a basic project and then I export the mix and master it on other DAWs.
I just want to verify what Magix support claims to me.

Note that I've asked the support about the fact ACID is no longer maintained. Here is the reply from Magic support:

Actually, there is no new ACID Pro release planned for the near future. But there is no official statement from MAGIX that the software won't be maintained any longer. If you've read anything different in forums, that's just rumors and nothing that's somehow official.
