Could there not possibly be a third reason during this particular time?

That being one of some countries suffering more than others with current internet capacity along with bandwidth restrictions depending on the route taken from the PC to the appropriate server?

I don't seem to be suffering any of the described problems but may just be lucky. I do have (at least for the UK) a very fast broadband speed though at over 220Mbps. Weirdly via Wi-Fi it's even faster at 350Mbps. Whatever I connect to though seems slower. I have no idea how to check the speed of a connection both ways to see if it could be related but to me seems reasonable.

Hi Ray,

No, this has been an on-going problem for at least a month. I only go into MEP2019 when I want to show someone something, which means almost every other day. I also open it on both of my vastly different computers with the same result. No problem opening and getting going with VPX, however.

Please note my time stamp.

Upon posting here I tried a test completely shutting down my PC for one minute and then starting up again.

Literally started my computer, initiated OBS studio and pressed record while waiting for my second screen to activate. This was the result.

Also note how quickly I uploaded the file ready in 1080p

No real freezing despite lack of shop content for a very short while.

That is because you're using MEP2020 most recent patch. The problem is with 2018 and 2019. The changes to the Store affected all 3 versions, but only 2020 was patched.

It was still missing content. Something I've never noticed before now as I'm never in that much of a hurry.

I think I also still had other stuff loading in the background at the same time.

So are we saying the newer version is less trouble than the last version?

Yes, the latest patch is much less affected.

Here is a link to what the problem was. Read only the first message from Frank, and here is the patch message for the latest patch. See the last two bullet points.

Hi John.

In that case then the patch if possible should be retrospectively fitted and agree it is poor policy and bad customer service. If not possible then some part of that version should be rolled back to prevent the problem rather than left.

For the past few months every single time I open Magix editor the application works for a few seconds, but then freezes completely for 45-60 seconds, before working fine.

My lalptop is extremely hi-spec and so there is nothing from my side causing this | Instead this is a fault with magix software! :|

Is this a planned action by magix though to try forcing customers to pay them even more money to upgrade from the 2018 version to the 2020 version of Magix??

Deleting that long list of .bak (backup files) did it for me...the store still sucks ;-)
