Magix Music Maker Software manager download not starting

UPDATE

Due to downloading problems with the Magix website and installer software I have been forced to use the CNET download version, and now remember I ended up doing the same thing last time.

Why was this necessary? I can't remember ever having so much trouble with software like this.

None of the download versions would start for me directly from the Magix website.

I am going to upgrade to the 2014 version, hoping that my massive problems with certain soundpool features on version 18 will be solved.

I have downloaded a bunch of MM stuff over 7 years and never had a problem other than it takes some time to do so due to the length of sone of the programs. Since you will be upgrading, I would sugget you delete ALL your old Magix data as there may be an unresolved issue with one of your older downloads....make sure all your drivers are current, latest software patches to your operating system, delete junk files, check on if a defrag is necessary and do one if so indicaated.....then try your download from the Magix download site. Thanks Gnarly, it appears the magix downloader is not up to the job. It comes up as corrupt every time.

I also managed to download a version from Magix of MMM 2014 no problem, the problem appears to be with

the installation and downloading software they use for the earlier version 18 on my Account page.

Can they not supply me with a "Light" version which can be saved onto "Flash Drive" as a portable version? It's exhausting to wait 2-3 hours for something to download from another site, like I did tonight, only to have it come up as "Corrupted".

i.e., Download crew setup file was corrupt.
