Trying to insert Blockbuster Template at front of my own Movie Template

Xenofex2 escrito el 11.11.PM a las 23:39 horas

I am trying to insert an edited ‘Magix Movie Blockbuster Template’ into the beginning of my own edited movie highlights of numerous clips from a past year. (using Movie Edit Pro 2014 Plus).

My first problem is that I cannot seem to get them to both to open in the same project. I then try to see if possible to copy & paste and, somehow, but not sure how, I have managed it, but one way I lost the audio behind the Blockbuster Template, or, try it another way and my own edited movie has lost some ‘picture in picture’ inserts.

What am I doing wrong please?

Xwnofex2,

This will get everything on one set of timelines so you can do the copy&pastes between your movie and the blockbuster template.

  • Start a new project and open the Blockbuster template with the "Use movie template:" option in the 'What do you want to do?' window.
  • Switch to timeline mode,  zoom out so there is blank space to the right, and place the play cursor in the blank area.
  • Go to 'File' >> 'Open...'  and add you edited movie making sure you select the 'Add  new project' option.
  • You should now have a project with two movies as shown by two tabs above the timelines like this:

  • Do a select all [Ctrl]+[A] and then copy [Ctrl]+[C] from your edited movie.
  • Finally go to  you blockbuster movie and paste [Ctrl]+[V] in your stuff.
  • Really finally :-), delete one movie so that you only have the final movie in your project and re-name it before saving.

To merge things it might be easier to go the other way (copy from blockbuster and paste into you movie) as the blockbuster has only 15 objects. Group each title and background pair so they stay in sync.

Regards,

Carl

I was studying your post when Carl's thorough reply appeared.

But I'm puzzled over what you mean by your opening sentence. In what way is the template edited? Do you just mean that you've made a new movie (an introductory movie) by editing the template? So your question is about how to combine two movies?

Just want to say thankyou to both Terry and especially Carl for that helpful reply. Have just followed it and it has worked perfectly.

Did re-write the question a few times, but yes Terry, I had actually changed the wording on the Blockbuster Movie Template so my question was, as you said, how to combine two movies.

Following Carl’s most helpful and detailed reply I have this morning finally joined the two movies.
Many Many Thanks
