Render failure and License expiration issue - VEGAS Pro 23

Subject: CRITICAL: Render failure and License expiration issue - VEGAS Pro 23

Description: Hello, I am facing two major issues with my VEGAS Pro 23 license:

Render Failure: The software works perfectly during editing, but rendering fails immediately regardless of the settings, formats (AVC, HEVC, ProRes), or encoders (CPU or GPU) used.

License Error: I purchased a perpetual license, but the software displays a countdown stating that my license expires in 25 days, as if it were a trial or a 365 subscription.

Troubleshooting already performed:

Disabled GPU acceleration in Video Preferences.

Tested with Mainconcept (CPU) encoder.

Closed all background production software.

Attempted to re-register via the Help menu.

Technical Info:

Software: VEGAS Pro 23 (latest build).

License Type: Perpetual.

OS: Windows.

Request:

Please verify my serial key in your database to fix the 25-day expiration countdown.

Provide a fix for the rendering engine conflict on version 23.

@Alain-Fortier I think the newest rendering problems might be caused caused by Windows update KB5083769, which breaks Vegas. See the discussions here:

I'm not sure what is causing the license problem. We are not Magix support, but just users like you. No support staff is active here. Maybe deactivate your license in your customer account at Magix.com, then start Vegas again and reactivate it.

@Alain-Fortier

Hi,

About Vegas Pro to clarify the situation.

Support Transition: Boris FX is the primary contact for VEGAS support.

However, they will not be issuing updates or patches for legacy versions purchased through MAGIX.

Technical Reality: The entire VEGAS development and support team has moved to Boris FX.

MAGIX no longer has access to the source code or the technical infrastructure; therefore, they cannot develop any fixes or updates for VEGAS products.
