Un bel traguardo per Franco Galateo che ha prodotto, sino ad oggi, nella sua carriera musicale individuale, 50 album nei generi di musica elettronica, ambient, space-music. Moltissime anche le collaborazioni espletate a livello internazionale che hanno dato vita a tanti altri album. Franco è un eccellente compositore che sa perfettamente ambientare i suoi lavori in un contesto sonoro ben consolidato e al contempo sempre aperto a nuove sperimentazioni, con particolare attenzione anche alla musica «concreta» contemporanea. I brani di questo concerto ben attingono nei propositi concettuali molto vicini sia a Cage, sia a Jarre, per dare vita ad un’opera intensamente emotiva ed ottimamente realizzata. Questo è un concerto di «passaggio» poiché Franco ha una notevole capacità di rinnovarsi passo dopo passo, pe realizzare sempre nuovi progetti di ricerca musicale.
A great milestone for Franco Galateo, who has produced 50 albums in electronic music, ambient, space-music, to date in his individual musical career. There are also many international collaborations that have created many other albums. Franco Galateo is an excellent composer who knows how to set up his work in a well-established sound environment and at the same time always open to new experiments, with special attention to contemporary "concrete" music. The pieces of this concert are well maked in conceptual ideas that are very close to both Cage and Jarre, to give life to an intensely emotional and well-made work. This is a passage concert because Franco has a remarkable ability to renew step by step, and to always make new music research projects.
