1 DL Storyblocks file per program instance then breaks

Only downloads one stock footage file via {Magix Hub, Stock footage} then won't download another until restart of program. Is there a problem with the network or software bugs?

Subsequent selections for download are registered against my 200/month count (as displayed when hovering over the download button), and in my list of downloads (including title/description, thumbnail, download date/time info), but no file is transfered.

I found I could restart the program and download again. But again, one file. The monthly count n/200 for this month tallies correctly: [successful DLs = x], is as the 200 minus x count shown.

+20sec per file process: 7sec re-start, 5sec Hub re-start, 5sec re-populate false DL list, 3sec select and re-push button.

Is there a solution to this very inefficient process?

Thanks =)

MAGIX Movie Studio 2025 Suite; Version 24.0.1.249 (UDP3); UG code 8485 KA1

O/S = WIN10

~11MB/sec typical download speed on ISP (the successful DL occurs for ~20MB file in ~2sec)

Probably few users (Movie Studio 2025) still on Windows 10, but in case anyone has this issue, this works well to get through it at minimum cost:

  1. Plan DLs by group - scene/theme/function (per project needs)
  2. Search a group and DL one (or more*); if unsure save to favorites (HEART them)
  3. Select "Skip this window on start" in settings (GEAR) in the New Project dialog box
  4. Restart program and go: HUB > Stock Media > Downloads (DOWN ARROW+UNDERSCORE) / Favs (HEART) list
  5. DL one more
  6. Repeat steps 4, 5, cleaning Favs as needed
  7. Repeat from step 1

*When more than one file is registered as downloaded and not actually transferred to local storage, then returning repeatedly to DL list sends the last DL to the top of list: a very weird sorting process - - - so {HUB file name, HUB description, thumbnail image, local file re-name, local file system view} differences must be kept in mind to avoid repeat DLs. I do it in little tranches.

n*files/min is possible: with 8GB RAM my app starts in 7 seconds - takes same to establish network, same to nav to the DL/HEART list, select and push DL button; DL at high speed network so typically under a second + a second for network process time.

Incedentally, my "HD Stock Media Downloads available" was reduced from 200/month to 180/month before the end of the month (August 2026).
