Are you supposed to be able to see video on the edit screen?

I have Movie Edit Pro 15 and on the edit screen I can't see the video that I am editing. I have to go back to the record screen to see the changes that I have made. Is that normal or am I doing something wrong?

First try F9 (Reset).
