authorization needed to read or write

every time i try to import a avi movie that i have downloaded it tell me that i need authorization to write or read from this path contact administrator from the magix movie edit pro 14 in windows vista

Sounds like the program does not have the necessary authorization to open the file you downloaded. Try right mouse clicking the desktop icon for Movie Edit Pro and Run as administrator, then see if that helps any.
