BEST SETTINGS FOR EXPORTING AUDIO ONLY VIDEO? LEAST SIZE?

I am wondering if anyone can point out the best settings if my goal is to produce the absolutely smallest file, in the fastest time, when my goal is to import a 2 hour audio book, and I don't care about the video portion, I am just uploading a graphic, I just want to upload the video to the web, on Youtube, and Google Drive, to be able to listen to it while I am working.

For the smallest file possible and as you are wanting the audio part only, export the audio as an MP3 which you can play on any device without the need for a video player.

In MEP use File, Export movie, Audio as mp3

This will also alleviate you falling foul of Copyright law.

Hi.

It doesn't matter what the image is, it will be encoded as video and as such will make any video clip quite large compared to a straightforward audio file.

Audio and Video are linked within an encoded file so the best you can do is to have your audio setting at the best it will allow and the video at the worst and possibly the smallest frame size you can choose for the encoding to keep the file relatively small.

YouTube has rules on the length of time a video can be that an individual can load and has to be done to a verified account or you will be limited to 15 minutes, so I assume you know this. Other video hosting sites may have similar rules. Uploading to Google Drive would be a better bet.

Using HEVC or 264 should allow for the smallest file sizes. Choose the slowest frame rate and physical frame size available from the drop down menu at the top of the export box. Then change the image size to something larger if you prefer in the separate image size box. That will keep the video portion of the file smaller while retaining screen size. You can and then separately choose the sound quality and export the file.
