Bluray burning

I have recently bought a Liteone bluray burner and I cannot get the discs to run on my sony player. It says: 'disc not playable' whichever HD format I burn in.

I run Movie edit pro 16 on Windows 7/64. The sony player is the bdp 360 and I have upgraded the firmware.

The discs run on my pc quite happily.

Does anyone have any suggestions? Sony say the discs may not be 'closed' properly - which I don't believe as there are no problems with dvd's of ordinary definition.

Thank you

Hi,

If your Sony player is a B-Ray type?

You can create 2 kind of DVD, one can be a true DVD in SD, the other can be a DVD burned in AVCHD the second type need absolutly a B-Ray player to run.

Who makes the Blu-ray disc?

I have noticed in the past that my "Sony" player didn't always play certain manufactures of discs... I have no idea why but that was a case, yet the "Free" Blu-ray player I received from a magazine subscription plays everything with no qualms.
