my Dell PC is dying.. i have uninstalled Magix Movie Edit Pro from it.  I want to re-install it on my new MacBook Pro, but am getting error msg because Mac doesn't read Windows based software. Can I somehow download and install the Mac version of the software I already purchased (& have uninstalled)? Or do I have to actually buy a whole new program to install on Mac?

Hi

MEP is a Windows only program so you cannot install MEP onto a MAC with out using software such as Parallels = a PC emulator.

However that also introduces other problems - the most common being loss of access to the DVD drive.

As yet there is no version of MEP for the MAC.

Hi,

If you are now on a Mac platform and want something that is at least as good as or perhaps a little better than MEP, you really need to look at Final Cut Pro.  Very different workflow but well respected in the editing community.  Try it before you buy it.
