Hi.

As you may have noticed with using the graphic equaliser, when you cut any frequency it not only effects the sound you wish to cut but it also affects the sounds you are trying to hear clearer. It is the same with any program that can cut unwanted sounds from an audio recording but it goes about it in a different way. Anything in the same frequency range it cuts out will also go missing and results in a slightly robotic sound which gets worse as you cut more into those frequency areas. Most such programs at present are based around cutting out specific instruments as apposed to unwanted background sounds, or things that are relatively constants, like a mains hum or wind noise with the included presets, but altering those parameters yourself is not possible as they rely on sound samples of the noises on their own to use as samples of what to remove. There is such a minimal system built into the sound tools within MMS.

To get to it to try it out, just double click on any sound object.

There is a section for use of custom sounds but will need a selected sound sample section.

Ray.
