"Cannot connect to device"

I have a Sanyo Xacti HD camera and Movie Edit Pro 15.

Everytime I try to record files through USB it says it could not connect to the device.

I have tried to import and it says that the format is not supported.

Do I need firewire or an MPEG4 codec?

You can't 'record' from your camera, you must copy the files from camera to PC via the USB. Perhaps you need MEP 15 Plus for the HD-files ?
