Downgrade Magix Vegas Pro 23 to Magix Vegas Pro 22.

Hello. i'm posting here because after 2 weeks and 2 tickets i'm asking if it's possible to downgrade my Vegas Pro 23 version into vegas pro 22 version?

23 is unusuable. 22 looks pretty better. and i won't pay 150$ for an update to BorisFX Vegas Pro lol. The current Vegas Pro 23 is so broken. All of my friend had VP22, i want to go back to VP 22.

Thanks if support come here, or if someone already ask the same thing as me and have answer!

Bests regards.

@DBMR If you purchased Vegas Pro 23 in 2026, you should receive a free upgrade to Vegas Pro 2026 from Boris FX. Simply submit a support request to Boris FX and ask them.

I think, Magix should be able to easily provide you with a serial number for Vegas 22. Unfortunately, Magix support has been difficult to reach since summer 2025. I recommend checking in with your ticket number every 6-7 days, as your ticket may otherwise be automatically closed. See also this thread where we are trying to get a Magix employee to assist with these widespread ticket issues: https://www.magix.info/us/forum/magix-support-has-not-responded-to-support-tickets-for-months--1351814/

There is also another issue with Vegas Pro 22 and earlier versions. If you have an Nvidia GPU, please note that Nvidia no longer supports old GPU acceleration presets which Vegas 22 and earlier use, starting with driver version 590. This means you can no longer use Nvidia GPU acceleration for video encoding. You will either need to revert to a GPU driver prior to version 590 or use Voukoder.

Thank you for this thorough and very precise answer!

I'll just have to be patient then!

And yes, I think Magix can at least provide me with a key for VP22 to compensate for the broken version of VP23, and I heard about the driver issue. But I think that even with that, VP22 is still more stable than VP23! VP23 can't even read Protype Titler without crashing, lol.

Regarding the free upgrade, well... I bought VP23 as soon as it came out; I was so impatient, so I'm not eligible for the free upgrade. I'm left having to pay at least $100 if I want to be able to continue editing on VP23.

That's why I'd like to at least have version 22, which is a bit smoother and more stable, so I can at least edit and not have spent $250 for... nothing in the end?

I'm sure Magix will remain honest and help me find a solution!
