Please Help,

I'm having a problem with encoding the project (buring). Every time I try to burn it the softare Fails wih an error "!!! DBK error in BurnProject: 46 - menu encoding failed !!!"

I have tried different options, for example: divided the movide into chapters (4 - 6 minutes long), set up encoder settings to NTSC, tried different Bit rate, Speed of encoding, Used Smart Rendering, etc. and nothing works.

The project is not very long. It is only about 25 minutes with 4 tracks (video + 3 sound) and it is rather simple.

My computer has enough recources: Intel Core Quad CPU 2.33GHz with 2.99 GB of RAM, running Win XP

Software version MAGIX Movie Edit Pro Plus (updated to newest version)

Step 1 of 6, Encoding movie 1 ...
Step 1 done
Step 2 of 6, Encoding movie menu...
Step 2 done
ERROR: PrepareDVDVideoFiles() failed with errNo 13 - menu rendering failed
!!! DBK error in BurnProject: 46 - menu encoding failed !!!

Any help appreciated.

Thank you,

Mark

Hi,

just wondering if you got an answer for this.  I've opened a ticket with Magix
support.  I just went through the first battery of suggestions from them
without much success.

I am wondering if you've had success by making sure you only use a static
menu, and if that is successful.

I am having success when I select a static menu, but when I choose an animated
menu, I get the same results as you.

George

George,

Same here. Magix support put me through a lot of loops and hoops including upgrades to my computer, which resulted in NOTHING to this issue. At the end, in Magix opinion my system is not working properly. I do not have any problems except their software (Error No 13)

You can still burn movies but without Menus and Chapters.

If you get an answer or a solution to this issue please let me know. There are many people with the smae problem.

Thanks,

Mark

Happened to me too. It's a problem since MEP 14+.

Relax. They'll probably have it fixed in MEP 17+... Ha, ha, ha!

Just realized I'll have to pay for the fix!
