Hi everybody. The "Formats" in the "Render As" dialogue box are confusing and I would love to get a detailed explanation of each one of them. I mean some are obvious but the others are weird and redundant appearing. Since this is really important why are there no direct descriptions and suggestions available on this topic? Please help. Links to some description would be great.
Assuming you have picked the correct Post Category and indeed using Video Pro X or could include Magix Movie Studio, you can find a comprehensive explanation within the program under help (not the content help under that)
Click on image above to enlarge, click the X or to the side of the image to return to this page.
You have asked a question with a very large answer and the explanations there include given uses.
There will be more options explained in the VPX manual compared to the MMS manual as VPX has more rendering options.
In general, the more a given program can do, the more choices you get and the more complex and varied the solutions could be. So is the possibility of producing a non working file at the end if you don't understand what is possible to alter within some of the settings of some of those export options, hence the lists of Magix own pre-made export options you get in the export dialogue drop down list of most of the encoding options which can be expanded by ticking 'Display all'.
I don't think anyone here can give a better explanation than can be found in that document as it is more than a few pages long.
If after reading that you have any specific questions about a given wrapper or codec then please add a reply question to this Topic post.
In which case, good luck with those help files. They only explain what to do, and for what application is shown in the export dialogue box but no definitive explanation on wrappers or codecs that I can find.
If Al is correct on which program you have you would be better asking that question on the Vegas creatives website. They may have access to different material or know where to search for it.
. . . . Given we (Magix) don't have a "Render As" command . . . .
Agreed - as @CubeAce has commented, please post your question on the Vegas Creartive Software forum.
This topic will be closed, however if you are using Magix Video Pro X and have used the 'Vegas term' for exporting, send me a PM and I will re-open the topic.
