Glitches

I used Sound Forge 12 (Sony) for years on an I7 with 24GB of RAM, and it worked flawlessly. Since Windows 10 is being kicked to the curb by Microsoft, and my PC was not capable of running Windows 11, I bit the bullet and bought a Geekom mini PC with an I9 and 32GB of RAM, and since Sound Forge 12 refused to install on it, I bought Sound Forge 18. When playing audio, there are tiny gaps. A fairly ancient version of Adobe Audition 3 running on the same PC does NOT exhibit this behavior, and plays audio flawlessly. I have tried all kinds of buffer adjustments on Sound Forge with no luck. Any suggestions?

@scott-james This can be caused by editing compressed audio files like MP3. It's recommended to convert them to WAV first. If you enable to always proxy compressed audio files in the Sound Forge program preferences, this will be done automatically.

Sound Forge 12 was never released by Sony, so I don't know what version you are trying to use there. My version of Sound Forge Pro12 works without any problems on Windows 11.
