Is it possible to open audio objects from a movie in Movie Edit Pro 14 Plus in Samplitude 11 Pro for editing? If so, how is this done and how would I bring the audio back into MEP14? Thank you!
Yes it can! In MEP got to 'File' >> 'Program settings' ([Y] key shortcut) and on the path setting tab put your SampProducer.exe file into the 'Audio editor:' slot. When you right click on an audio object you will get the option to 'Edit wave externally...' -- which will now be Samplitude. When you finish your audio editing you simply close Samplitude and your edited audio object will replace the original on the MEP timeline. IIRC you have to agree to save your VIP project first.
Note 1: I'm not sure how this all works -- The Magix PhotoEditor prompts for overwriting but Samp doesn't. Make sure you have a backup of your original file!
Note 2: No option to edit externally was available for the sound attached to an AVI clip. I had to first export as a WAV file and then bring that back into MEP.
Hope this helps some. I've obviously not done a lot between these two programs.
