How can I map the path an object takes when adding to a movie

I am trying to move an item around the video and was wondering if there is a way to put the start position and end position in and then create the path for it to take and having it auto generated rather than having to manually do lots of key frames in between.

It seems simple if you want an object to fly directly from left to right but I want it to curve not just fly straight

Thanks

steves,

Depending on your program version, you should have the option to do keyframes with at least Bezier curves rather than straight line segments. Not a straight (!) forward as drawing a loopy curve, but at least you don't have to place so many points for smooth movement. In MEP14+ tick the 'Soft movement' box; in VPX, and at least  MEP 17 I think, there is a little icon on the keyframe animation line which can be a straight line, a curved line or another type I can't quite describe.

Check 'Effects curves' in the help file maybe.

Carl
