I'm using ACID PRO: 11.0.2 (Build 21) 64 bit.
I am desperately looking for a way to either turn off loop playback and / or Beat matching and / or stretching of audio sample playback in the Explorer.
Like every other ACID PRO user, I am simply trying to listen to and choose samples to use within my song. However, I can't tell how they actually sound because whenever I open the ACID PRO EXPLORER, the audio samples are clearly, being stretched, distorted and beat mapped to match the tempo of the current project.
I want to say that I understand why ACID PRO has this as their default... but what I DO NOT understand is that there is apparently, no immediate available property settings for turning this feature off! For example, when I am trying to select various, on-shot drum samples such as a snare, kick or crash samples, the last thing I want is to have them sounding "stretched" or distorted in any other way. Turning off loop playback within the project doesn't in any way affect the explorer, which still keeps stretching and distorting all the samples with loop playback. I remember back when ACID was owned by Sonic Foundry, the only audio files that would nativerly play in a loop were the acid files that were intended to be layered as looping blocks. Otherwise, you could TOTALLY turn this property off in the explorer settings. Now, this type of property control seems to have been removed or relocated, and it's becoming a bit frustrating.
So then... does ANYONE have ANY IDEA how to turn this feature off?
Thanks,
- Evan
