inserting a MOV into project problem

Yvonne-Bennett wrote on 8/2/2026, 9:32 AM

I make a video about 1x per year for a family vaca. I downloaded videos and pics. I grabbed video and added to timeline. I wanted to trim the video so I tried to use the scissors and it didn't work. I then deleted the video from timeline to start again. I received error message saying the video now can not be played and I needed to pay $5 to update software. I did so. Now I can hear the audio but I cannot see the video. I downloaded another copy and same. All of my other MOV videos play fine. please help.

@Yvonne-Bennett

Hi

. . . . cannot see the video . . . .

Is the video clip from the same camera/device as the rest of the video clips?

Download and install MediaInfo and analyse the video clip that is not working and post the results, see this tutorial on how to set up MediaInfo and analyse a video clip for all the data required.

Are you getting any popup messages when you import the clip to the timeline?
