Is there a way to export using more than ONE CPU CORE?

I just bought Music Maker 2014, loaded it up and played with it for a couple day. When I went to export (to video cause I added some - 1080p 30fps) I noticed that it was only compiling with one of my cpu cores. Just wondering if there is any way to get a little more speed out for it since these are my system specs:

  • Windows 8.1 64bit
  • Asus M5A99FX Pro R2.0
  • AMD 8320 4.2Ghz O/C 8-Core Cpu
  • Kingston 1333Hz 8Gb RAM (yes I know this inadequite for the system should be more than enough for the time being until I can upgrade)
  • Samsung EVO 120Gb SSD (Windows)
  • WD 1Tb HDD (Data)
  • WD 320Gb HDD (Caching/Data)

How slow and for what format and length video are you referring to?

MMM will use the number of cores it is designed for / requires and you cannot change this.

As an example the following composition - 18m 32s incl 1080p video takes the following times to export:

   -   as AVI 1920*1080  video and audio       60 min

   -   as AVI audio only  10 min

   -   as mp3 (audio only)   27 sec.

MMM is not good in terms of speed at exporting video+audio or converting to a video format.

If you have Movie Edit Pro as well,  I would create the soundtrack in MMM,  as I did in the image below, and then remove the video track an export as mp3.

I would then add the mp3 to the movie in Movie Edit Pro and then export the video.

In the example shown the export from MEP takes me approx 10 mins for the 18m 32s video as  1080p mp4

Hi thanks for the quick reply. As I know a few editor and producers  I think it would be wise to implement a way to utilize mutiple cores. Personally I use this software for fun  but I know others who would use it  to start off in the field and I'm sure as you know, time is money.  

 

I do not have  magix movie maker. I only added the video as some visuals to the music I made but I can do without.  It would just be nice to render at the potential of my computer.  I don't know if it can be implemented in an update but like I mentioned before it would wise.
