Kodak Zi8 import

When I try to import (via USB) the .mov files from my Kodak Zi8, Movie Edit Pro 17 cannot locate the camera. Import works fine via Kodak's free Arcsoft software. What am I doing wrong?

Are you trying to capture the mov-files? It wont work, try to copy the files to your PC. See if you find the camera in Win Explorer.

Copy/paste to My Videos did the trick. When I open the file in MEP17HD, it asks me for resolution. It was shot as 1080p. Is MEP requesting an editin/working res or output res
