Magix 17 3D how do I burn m2ts file to SD DVD

electrosim2001 wrote on 9/13/2011, 6:36 AM

I have no problem burning my project ( m2ts file ) to AVCHD SBS format to produce a DVD-R disc that will play the HD content on my Bluray player. I want to also burn the  video on the timeline to a standard DVD ( anaglyph copy ) for a friend to view on his DVD player. When I try to do this, the burn program only burns the menu file and not the editied video.

It doesn't load the m2ts. How do I burn a SD DVD from my HD editied video?

Thanks.

Hi,

You can burn a DVD disk in 2 ways:

1) Burn the DVD but can play only on a  BluRay player that means AVCHD content limitation time to less than 30 minutes try to burn 10 minutes project this fill more than 25 % of the disk

2) Burn the DVD but the content is DVD files that means is SD video or digital video and can play on any DVD player.

In solution 1 keep away from motion menu the solution 2 can use motion menu.

Try to burn a small project to test your equipment.

YR

Merci yvon-robert.

The problem I have, is that when I use the burn project button, everything works fine when I burn an AVCHD DVD disc  but when I do exactly the same thing but choose DVD in the burn menu, all that happens is that Magix burns the short DVD menu to disc but doesn't encode the video I have editied on the timeline.

Problem

AVCHD OK           ( DVD-R DISC )   Burns DVD menu and the editied movie   : ))

DVD     ( Not OK )     Only burns the short DVD menu and not the editied movie.      : ((

It sounds like the software is detecting the previously burned AVCHD image (they are stored temporarily to decrease the need for re-encoding).

I would suggest to clean out the Temporary Image folder :

Make sure the MAGIX software is closed.

Go to your Computer - Documents folder. In there, will be a folder for your affected product, double click on that.

In there will be a folder called Disc Images. Delete any files that are in here (they are all temporary files).

Then try burning the disc again.

I thank you all for your advice. I haven't solved the problem yet as I have been doing other things. I'm wondering whether it's because my original ' active movie settings' are set at 1920 X1080  and perhaps I need to reload my previously editied and rendered M2TS  video, into a new project where the active movie settings are 720 X 576 so that I can then burn the file as a standard def anaglyph DVD.

I'll have to try a short test video to find out what works.
