Magix MEP 17 Pro Plus - DVD Drive not fully supported

Testing the trial version prior to purchasing. Everything wnet well until Burning. The program failed to write to the blank DL disc although it had recognised that it was Double Layer with a capacity >8GB. The error log showed:

" .....AVSDK Message - ERROR: :Cannot write to disc -> Required command option not supported by drive (SK/ASC/ASCQ 05/24/00)

The error seems to point to the drive not being supported for the command that was given. I would first, check to see if there are any firmware updates for the drive itself, then try again.

 

I haven't had a burn error in quite some time with the video line of MAGIX. I am using a TDK brand for DVD, and it has been flawless for about 4 versions now. But I am not sure if I have burned a Dual Layer before, I will check that out, see if I can provide additional information later.
