Hi..

Iam attempting to import files from my Panasonic digi camera ( .mov ) and panasonic camcorder ( .dv from digi tape ).

The software says it may be write protected or I don't have the adminstrator access.

They will not import.

I can import a jpeg file...thats all.

I can import other completed videos.

Can anyon help please??

It could be that Panasonic is using a proprietary format of the .mov file; one that MAGIX does not have the ability to read, though it may playback.

 

Did the camera come with its own software? it might be you have to use that in order to import, then export the video in a standardized format.

 

You should check with Panasonic support to see if they have anything that can be done other then what I mentioned.

Hi

thanks for your answer.

I did use magix 10 previously on my pc with windows xp and everthing

was fine even with the firewirre download.

My laptop doesnt have a firewire port and the usb2 will not connect withe the camcorder.

I imported to my daughts mac and transferred to my laptop via a external hard drive.

Only way I can do it...but it wont read the files????
