MAGIX Video deluxe 2026 Premium: old serial number NewBlue remains

Hi everyone,

Yesterday I purchased MAGIX Video deluxe 2026 Premium (Permanent license - new purchase) with NewBlue Essentials 5 Ultimate and NewBlue Filters 5 Ultimate and installed it on my brand new laptop. I did all this through the official download links and serial numbers that I received via email from MAGIX. The installation went smoothly without any error messages.

Problem: In VDL 2026 Premium, my old NewBlue serial number from VDL 2025 Premium is automatically used, while I received two new serial numbers. I have no option to enter the new serial numbers anywhere - neither during installation nor within the program itself.The two different NewBlueFX packages, each with its own serial number, are therefore not present in Video deluxe 2026 Premium; only the one package from the other version is visible, but it cannot be used in version 2026.

I also checked in my NewBlue account, but these new products do not appear there. Since I received the plugins through MAGIX, I suspect that the activation needs to go through MAGIX. I want to keep using my old serial number on my old laptop with VDL 2025 Premium, and the new serial numbers on my new laptop with VDL 2026 Premium. So this is not about replacing a license, but about activating a new, separate installation.

I also removed everything and reinstalled it. Since then, I am getting an error message when activating the content package, after which the entire program crashes. What can I do to make everything work? Thank you in advance for your thoughts 😅

Try looking on your Producer Planet account.

You must login to your ProducerPlanet account.

https://producerplanet.com/us/account/purchases/

You should find all your extras and other plugins activated with your purchase of Video Deluxe 2026 Premium.

Hi,

After activating your voucher code, you will receive an email from MAGIX indicating the serial number assigned to the plugin.


Automatic plugin activation can take between 1 and 5 days to be visible in the Effects -> Additional Effects tab of Video Deluxe.
Sometimes, automatic activation does not work.
In this case, you can download and activate the plugin from your Producer Planet account, where you will find all your purchases and free plugins.
This procedure has been in place for a few months now, but MAGIX's communication on this subject is not perfect.

Hi DéDé. Thank you very much for your help and advice regarding my problem. Everything is finally working perfectly! Thanks to a comment from Rob (Dutch Magix forum) and help from Copilot, I figured it all out. I had to remove everything, including manually, and then reinstall everything from scratch. I did create a new NewBlue account, but in hindsight, I’m not sure if that was actually necessary. It took some detective work and patience, but the result is absolutely worth it: sleek, stable, and exactly as I wanted. Ready to get creative!

I did not hijack another user’s thread delberately. This is my first experience of using the forum so was unaware that I was “hijacking” another’s thread. The log in page does not provide instructions or describe the protocol for newbies like myself. So get off my case moderator ! I must say I am disappointed with Magix because as far as I know they haven’t provided a simple link to download the users guide when they download the software after my purchase.

Anyway, assuming that this communication is a new thread, can you please inform me as to how to access and download the users guide for Magix Video deluxe 2026
