I am using Movie Edit Pro 15 Plus Download Version on Windows Vista Home premium SP 2. Last couple of years no problem. For some time I did not use it. Now I have this problem.
I am in the middle of a community project. Any help will be appreciated
Are you using an external hard drive or a resource from CD/DVD?
Is your hard drive nearly full?

Hi John
Thank you for taking time to answer my question.
One of the clips originally from a DVD. But, now I have exported as a mpeg2 file. Movie Edit Pro did this without any complains. Now I have 3 mpeg2 files in a folder on my desktop. I created a new project in the program's default project folder. When I was asked, I clicked the 'copy' button to copy the clips to the default folder. I did not delete or move anything. Everything in the local hard drive c. My hard disk is 500 GB with more than 240 GB free space.
Later I tried the project as one film with three chapters. Still the same result.

This may be the problem - try putting the files into a folder off the C: drive eg C:\Magix\Project\ so MEP will see a much shorter file path to the video files. Then recreate the project again.
