MEP (14 specifically) Can the (static) menu compositions be adjusted or customized ?

I am creating a project with MEP 14. I am using a still photo (.jpg) for the disc menu background. I am using composition 4/3 for the menu structure. Unfortunately the menu text is placed too far from the actual button itself. I would like to adjust the "distance" between the menu text and the menu button so that the buttons do not overlay items on the background image that I would like to be visible to the user.

Can the distance between the menu text and the menu button in MEP 14 be "adjusted" ?

I found the controls I was looking for under the "Arrangement" button. Guess it helps sometime to just go explore...
