MEP and VPX editing is "non-destructive" Advice

Although MEP and VPX editing is "non-destructive"

Does this mean that the hidden edited video still takes up space when burned to disc?

Unwanted Video Edits

If I have decided I DO NOT WANT the edited out video I can get rid of it as it must take up storage space.

I have noticed that if I export the project as AVI etc.... the Edited (hidden) video is lost when re-imported into a fresh project.

If anyone has any advice to share regarding my question and observation

It would be much appreciated.

Hi,

The original file stay untouched, When you move scene on the timeline as long you not use the rasor blade to cut it nothing change. The software by itself is an editing list telling that 0 to 1000 frames and 2000 to 5000 frames must appear in the movie is like a grocery list showing time, effect, title etc... when you burn the project you burn only the content in the list. Check the size of the original file and the size of the movie. When you backup your file you musy backup the captured file (original file) and the file created by the software in Magix is a MVP file extension. Normally MVP file is very small compare to the movie file about 500KB like the grocery list compare to the cart.

Bonjour YR

I understand your "Shopping List" explanation.

I had forgotten to compare file sizes
