Video is perfect in editing phase, but after burning the DVD audio and video are out of sink? It is fine at the beginning of the 40min DVD but about 1/2 way it starts to get out of sink and it WAY out of sink at the end of the DVD? Suggestion?
Try to free resources in your computer using Ctrl Alt Del keys and stop unecessary open programs.
Try to turn OFF temporary your antivirus.
Run only one application at the time.
Add more memory to your computer.
Before to do clean your harddrive using windows tools like disk clenaup and disk defrag. May be just the last action is necessary but consider all options.
Using MEP17 version 10.0.11.0 for burn NTSC Blu-ray and DVDs. I have your same problem, exactly -- for the first time. I've imported an old 75 minute VHS, re-synced the soundtrack, and it plays perfectly in the editor. On both Blu-ray and DVD burns, however, it goes out of sync at about 5 minutes and gets worse throughout. I've tried making an MP4, but the same thing happens on playback. I've just purchased a support call from Magix, and will report back on what happens.
Note: in the time-consuming hunt for an answer, I found many complaints about the same thing, often accompanied by the 'solution' of using MEP16 to burn. I've had so many burning problems with 16 I find it hard to believe that this is the ultimate answer: if it is, I think Magix is on dubious ground charging support fees.
Another issue I never solved (anyone out there?): can't burn any animated menus to Blu-ray (resulting coaster just goes to 'Home' when played, and won't play anything). Anybody
to thepug. I have been in communication with support for over a week on this. I came to this forum in desperation. Let me know what you find, I will do the same.
I finally went to the paid support, and when the polite gentleman found out that I am using the latest update (including an NTSC sync fix) finally suggested I break my 75-minute movie into separate chunks, save them, then recombine. I lose sync at least every four minutes, so this means a lot of (Mickey Mouse) work. I suspect that Magix is a PAL-centric operation, and our little NTSC problems are a low priority. I let him know that not mentioning this problem in their advertising is infuriating.
I forgot to add that in the paid support call, I was told that Blu-ray animated menus don't work. Got no answer about why they are provided as a choice, or why Magix continues to advertise them. I am reloading the original MEP16 without updates, and will see if I am imagining things...I think you can do animated Blu-ray menus using that ver before updates...
Very intestesting. I upgraded to MPEP17 because I have a new AVCHD camera and need the HD ability. I have used Magix for years but this latest 17 issue is maddening. I too have spent a lot of time researching this and it seems there are MANY MANY problems with 17 (beyond this current issue). The suggestion to BREAKUP your video is rediculous. Period. It concerns me to think NTSC is less important - but it certainly seems that is the case. I am waiting for an additional response (again this has been going on for since May 27th) to my paid support call - curious to see what the NEXT suggestion will be. Will keep you posted. Any suggestion of another software program? I am so comfortable with Magix I really DO NOT want to change, but if this is what the future is - I cannot afford wasted time or money -- and no resolution.
