mermory allocation failed

I just installed Movie Edit Pro 16 and started my first project.  I switch from Pinnacle thinking I would like this better.  With my first project comes a "memory allocation failed" message.  From "googling" this seems to be a problem with previous versions and it still not fixed.  I wish I had researched this software before purchasing.

1)  is there a fix for the problem?

2) if there is not fix for the problem, how can I get my money back since Best Buy won't take it back after I opened and installed it.

I have never had this error in the 10+ years I have used the MAGIX video products, and I think I own them all, but I have heard of it though...

I believe the error is based on the environment that the software is loaded (other programs installed, start-up utilities, background applications), not the software itself. So finding the solution could be that the system needs to be reconfigured.

Asking us how you get your money back is not really something we can answer; this is a user-to-use forum. Still, from my experience the software is not the culprit, at least I do not believe so, I would think if it was, I would have suffered the error by now.

I created a start-up removal guide, this turns off the programs that automatically turn on when you boot up the computer. Many of these auto start programs are nothing more than resource hogs.

Unfortunately, if you are just looking for a simple download fix, that you will not find, simply because for it to be a global error, everyone would suffer it, so the issue has to be somewhat unique, still you might want to contact support directly to see if they can assist you.

I have never seen this error either. Could it possibly be that your paging file is too small? Check Contol Panel>System>Advanced>Perfomance>Settings (or the equivalent in your operating system)
