movie edit pro 17 plus hd?

Hi, I just purchased a brand new version of movie edit pro 17 plus and already have several of your products registered to date. The desktop I own now may or may not work this version so I am still using movie edit 15 pro plus which does work fine on it but I would like to try 17 anyway. But I want to put it on my laptop too and as well I'm saving and am going to get a better destop next month that it will work on for sure then delete it off the desktop I now own to save space since I use it primarily for you music recording software I've bought and registered with you. So, my question is: Can I put this new software (Movie edit pro 17 plus on 2 or 3 of my machines or do I have to purchase more copies of the same software again from you to accomplish this feat?)
Please let me know because I am very anxious and have been waiting 3 weeks now and I want to try it out. Thanks for your time. Victor

Hi Victor

Your query should be directed to Magix themselves. This is a user forum provided by Magix.

To answer your question re MEP17 - depending on the video formats you are editing and your computer specification will determine whether it is feasible to run.

If you intend to edit and produce HD video then you will need an quad core processor and at least 4Gb of RAM, Windows 7 is preferable - 64bit version if you want more than 4Gb of RAM.

Preferably two hard drives - one for the system and one for your video data (video editing is punishing for hard drives).

Magix normally allow transfer of the software from one computer to another. For multiple installations you will need to contact Sales at Magix

take the 17 back to the store!

It's waaay glitchy and freezes up when opening an existing file. Magix messed up by releasing an unstable product with mep17. it's garbage.

@bob lynn

This is not a helpful answer for the original poster.

If you have a problem with MEP then start a new question with details of the problem in this forum or the Video Pro / MEP forum.
