Moving on a map

This is not a question, it's an answer. The question was asked by markoceka in the forum

MAGIX User Board    > English (UK, US, Nordic)    > Questions about MAGIX programmes    > Movie Edit Pro

which has just been closed by Magix. So I'll attempt my first answer here in magix.info.

Hi Marco,

In MEP 16+ and later you can do this with a built-in wizard called Travel route animation, but yes, you can use MEP14 also to animate a route using Key Frame Animation. (In fact, in MEP17+, I prefer to use that approach myself, as it's much more flexible.)

I'm not sure of your experience level. So I'll be brief initially and you can come back if you want more help.

These two screenshots step through it:

(I'd prefer to embed those; can someone tell me how to do that please?)

EDIT:

Hopefully, sooner or later, Marco will end up here. But I see his username in the dead forum is apparently his email address, so I've sent a copy that way too.

Thank you very much for your answer Terry.

About the new forum... It looks more like a poor board where everything is messed up. Where is a special room for Movie Edit Pro, where we can disscus about the program and make some questions?

Hi Marco/Terry

I think the forum should be here

http://www.magix.info/uk/forum/1-all-about-magixs-programs/10-movie-edit-pro-video-pro-x/#/topics/?page=1&limit=20

However there are many options as to where to put a question, the Question & Answer section is a very obvious one however it is too general and depending on which other sections you come from appears to give different results ie the first time I accessed this from the Question Answer, Video option at the top of the page I only got English questions.  From the pick list on the right I got all languages !!!

Hi John,

I agree. That's where I tried originally, as I wanted to use a 'forum' rather than a non-threaded QA. But as you may have seen from my other posts I got errors when I tried to send. Now understand this was a Magix server problem. I have since succeeded in posting.

But it will be a while before I feel comfortable in this site!
