Mpeg-4 video format is not recognized

I can't get magix movie edit pro 14 to recognize my mpeg-4 video files. I have activated both the mpeg-2 and mpeg-4 codeces. What am I doing wrong?

Are you sure the video is normal MPEG4? If it is AVCHD then it will not work in 14, you will need at least 15 PLUS or above.

Can you let us know exactly what type of file you are trying to import?

As far as I know it's just MPEG4. I have been using this software for a few years with another computer and the files from this cameria have worked fine. I just upgraded computer and now it's not working.
